During October, 2001, we took a tour of Japan. Because we didn't know much about Japan and couldn't speak the language, we booked a tour through General Tours.  Our tour was called 'The Inland Sea of Japan'.  The itinerary began in Tokyo and went to many places in the southwestern part of Japan including Mt Fuji, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and others.

This album contains highlights from our trip.  All of the pictures were taken with the still camera function of a Sony TRV-30 digital video camera.  The camera takes 1.5 megapixel photos at 640x480 resolution.  You can click on any of the thumbnails to see a larger copy of the picture.

Mount Fuji

Mount Fuji is said to be the most photographed geographic feature in the world.  It was our misfortune that on the day we were scheduled to visit, the weather was completely socked-in.  However, this lovely view came to us on the flight out of Osaka.
